Recently, my friends around me are chasing the Japanese drama Scarlet, so I followed suit, and today I'd like to get to know the main stars of this drama!
The drama stars Erika Toda,Hayashido, Yuko Oshima, and Kazuhide Kitamura. The drama is a rare female-oriented work in Japan, focusing on the life of Kimiko Kawahara, a female potter played by Erika Toda, who struggled during the period of rapid economic growth in the Showa Period, with Shinraku, Koga City, Shiga Prefecture, as her stage.
The film will star Nanami Sakuraba as the younger sister of the main character, Kazutoshi Kitamura as Kawahara Nagaji, Kawahara Nagaji, Kawahara Nagaji's father, Yasuko Tomita as Kawahara Matsu, Kawahara Matsu, Kawahara Yuriko, Mayuko Fukuda as Kawahara Yuriko, the youngest sister of the main character, Takuta Sato as the mysterious traveler, Soichiro Kusama, Yuko Oshima and Akitsugu Hayashi as the main character's childhood friends, Shogo Kumagai and Nobusaku Ono, Naomi Zaizen as Yoko Ono, a neighbor of the main character's Kawahara family, and Miki Mizuno as news reporter Chiyoko Umedo.
Erika Toda is the female lead, Kimiko Kawahara. She is the "ultimate career girl" and a pioneer of female potters. Kimiko Kawahara was born in Osaka in 1937, the eldest of three sisters, and moved to Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture, at the age of nine, where she supported her family from an early age.
In the beginning, I went to watch this drama because of Pear, she is really good actress. And as I watched the drama, she didn't disappoint: right at the beginning, there's a scene of Kimiko Toda as Kimiko in her 30s, trying to make pottery, and looking really, really professional. And the fact that she's only had the skills of a ceramic artisan for about three months shows how dedicated Toda Erika is.
This drama is very positive, the heroine has suffered a lot of failures and setbacks but keeps pushing forward with spirit and energy, this drama is very uplifting.
