Perilla is a herbaceous plant that flowers around August to November and fruits around August to December, and it has high nutritional value as well as food for human consumption. Perilla stems are about 0.3 to 2 meters tall, usually green and purple, quadrangular, with a lot of pilose, and ovate and rounded leaves, usually about 7 to 13 centimeters long and about 4.5 to 10 centimeters wide.
