There are two main kinds of raisins in China:
One is red raisin, with bright red or purple fruit and beautiful appearance, named "red soil" and "late red". Young leaves are lavender, smooth and with fine hairs on the back. Adult leaves are large, heart-shaped, 5-lobed, middle-lobed, smooth and shiny, with no fluff on the back. Fruit will not crack, rot or fall. The peel is medium thick, not easy to peel, with sugar content of 18-20 degrees, crisp and fresh taste, sweet in mouth, not sour and astringent, excellent in taste, resistant to storage and transportation, stored naturally for more than 3 months, and stored in a constant temperature kiln for more than 8 months.
Another variety is black raisin with purple-black fruit, bright as lacquer, thick fruit powder and beautiful appearance, named "Autumn Black". The fruit grains are closely planted on the ear, with the same size and beautiful ear shape. Mature in mid-September. Fruit grains are planted firmly, with strong tensile strength and extremely resistant to storage and transportation. They can be stored until March of the following year, and the fruits begin to hang in the second year after planting. In the third year, the yield per mu can reach more than 2000 kilograms, and it will enter the full fruit period in the fourth or fifth year.
