What are the uses of corn stalk after packaging?
Corn straw can be used not only for feed and straw returning to the field, but also for pressing into blocks as raw materials for biomass power generation. Every 10,000 tons of corn stalk can generate about 7 million kWh of electricity. Now a small biomass thermal power plant with corn stalk as the main raw material has been built in the corn producing area. Corn stalks can also generate heat energy through biogas fermentation to replace coal-fired electricity and provide energy for cooking and heating in rural areas. Corn stalk is also the raw material for wood-based panels, pulping and papermaking, cultivating mushrooms and corn stalk handicrafts. At present, many scientific research units at home and abroad are studying the production of fuel ethanol from corn stalk to replace part of gasoline.
