Europa League rules for the 2022-2023 season
Class A rules: the top finishers in each group will advance to the UEFA Nations League final round to compete for the 2021 UEFA UEFA Nations League Champions. The venue of the final will be chosen among the participating teams. The bottom team in each group will be relegated to the B division.
The B rule: The top team in each group will be promoted to A, while the bottom team will be relegated to C. The B rule: The top team in each group will be promoted to A, while the bottom team will be relegated to C.
The rules for Class C: The top team from each group will move up to Class B. The bottom teams from each of the four groups will be paired up for a two-legged, home-and-away playoff, with two teams relegated to Class D. The bottom teams from each of the four groups will be paired up for a two-legged, home-and-away playoff.
The rules for Class D: one group of four teams and another group of three teams, with the top team from each group moving up to Class C.
