Ingredients
300g fresh mushrooms, coarsely chopped, 1 small onion, finely chopped, 50g butter, 4 tablespoons crumbled dry breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons grated Italian Parmesan cheese, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, 100g cheddar cheese, grated, cream cheese 200g, softened, 4 eggs, dash of Chilli Pepper Original, 150g cooked ham or bacon, diced, chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Methods
1. Pre-heat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
2. Sauté mushrooms and onion in buttered medium skillet until tender, about 5 minutes. Add bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and saute.
3. Take a 25.5-cm-diameter baking pie dish and brush the bottom and sides with butter. Spread the mushroom mixture evenly over the bottom and sides of the dish and press down firmly. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the mushroom mixture.
4. Place cream cheese, eggs and Original Hot Sauce in a blender and blend until well combined. Add the cooked ham or bacon bits and stir to combine. Pour the mixture into a dish lined with the mushroom and cheese mixture and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the center is set. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley to serve.
