Yancheng Teachers College is a second university.
Yancheng Teachers University (Yancheng Teachers University), located in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, is a higher teacher training undergraduate colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province, selected by the data of China's "100 Schools Project" industry-teaching fusion project, the Ministry of Education's new engineering research and practice project. The program is a part of Jiangsu Province's higher teacher training undergraduate colleges.
In 2017, the school became a provincial master's project construction unit in Jiangsu Province. Founded in 1958, the school was formerly known as Yancheng Normal College and Yancheng College of Education; in 2002, Yancheng Commercial School, a national key secondary school, was incorporated into the school; in 2013, the school was selected for the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region's "National Training Program" project - the Rural Primary School Language Teachers' Off-the-job Replacement Training Project.
As of April 2023, the school has two campuses, Tongyu and Xinchang, with a campus area of 1,500 acres and a building area of 580,000 square meters; it has 18 secondary colleges and offers 73 undergraduate majors, of which 14 are teacher-training majors and 59 are non-teacher-training majors; there are more than 1,600 faculty and staff members, and more than 21,000 undergraduate students enrolled in the school on a full-time basis.

In March 1999, approved by the Ministry of Education, the former Yancheng Normal College and the former Yancheng College of Education merged to form the Yancheng Normal College; in 2002, the former Yancheng Commercial School, a national key middle school founded in 1958, was merged into the Yancheng Normal College.2007 On December 7, 2007, the school passed the undergraduate teaching level assessment of the Ministry of Education, and in March 2018, it was selected as one of the first batch of "new engineering" research and practice projects of the Ministry of Education.
