These two are North American snapping turtles, commonly known as little snapping turtles. The color of their carapace is different, one is black and the other is yellow. Of course, from the ornamental point of view, the yellow one will be more beautiful. As for fierce or not, it depends entirely on the individual, but snapping turtles are generally fierce. Some snapping turtles are fierce, some are scary, but only relatively fierce. Compared with other turtles, adult snapping turtles have higher bite force than adult males. The bite force of adult males is almost 45kg, which is much higher than that of snapping turtles (true snapping turtles) in the snapping turtle family. I saw a foreign documentary which tested the bite force of adult snapping turtles. If I remember correctly, it should be 1200 kg, which is about 540kg.
