The ending of Rapunzel is that Rapunzel's lover, Ferlin, enters the tower, but she is stabbed by an ambush witch, Gerdo, and her life is dying. Rapunzel promises that if she can heal Ferlin's wound, she will stay with Gerdo forever.

Gertrude agreed, but Flynn said that he would rather die than let her be trapped forever, and cut off her long hair. The magic of the magic hair disappeared and turned brown. Gertrude's young beauty quickly aged and fell off the tower and turned to ashes.

Flynn loved Rapunzel deeply, but died of injuries. Rapunzel hugged Flynn sadly and tried to sing a spell. Tears dripped on Flynn's cheeks, shining like the sun, and miraculously healed Flynn.

Finally, Rapunzel returned to the castle and reunited with her long-lost parents. As time went by, Flynn married Rapunzel and lived happily ever after. The pub villains all realized their wishes, and Baima became a respected captain of the Royal Guard.
