Secondly, male frogs have an external acoustic capsule on the ventral surface of the pharyngeal side of the frog, while female frogs do not, which is the most obvious sign of the difference between male and female frogs. During the reproductive season, males have an enlarged and obvious nuptial pad at the base of the first finger, while females do not.
