What is gout?
Gout is a metabolic disease caused by purine metabolism disorder or uric acid excretion disorder. It is often related to eating too many foods with high purine content.
symptom
Joint swelling, fever and pain. It hurts like tearing, like cutting with a knife or being bitten by something. It really hurts like hell. It is more common in the joints of lower limbs: instep, heel, barefoot and knee joint, in which fingers, elbows and wrists may also be involved, and tophi often grows in these parts.
Taboo food
I. Animal viscera
Such as pig liver, bovine liver, chicken kidney and so on. Can't be eaten. Excessive intake will lead to an increase in uric acid, which will lead to gout.
Second, seafood.
The purine content of common seafood such as scallops, shrimps and crabs is very high, especially seafood+beer, which is simply a "gold medal package" for gout patients. Once you take it, it will have an effect (it will make you scream), but the effect of taking medicine is not so fast, and anchovies, sardines, hairtail and oysters can't be eaten.
Third, the old fire soup
Some people may wonder why gout patients can't drink soup, especially the old fire soup, because most of the purines in the meat enter the soup after boiling, so this is also particularly important. Drinking soup is essential for us Cantonese, and it is even more painful for gout patients.
Fourth, fat.
Chocolate, cake dessert, candy and other desserts; Excessive intake of high-calorie foods such as fried chicken, fried dough sticks and French fries can easily lead to fat accumulation and obesity, which may lead to chronic diseases such as gout, hypertension and diabetes. Even if there is no hidden disease in your body, you should eat less of these foods.
V. Sodium
Pickled pickles, such as sour beans and sour radishes, contain more nitrite, while soy sauce and edible salt contain more sodium. Therefore, gout patients should have a light diet in their daily life and should not emphasize taste.
In addition to the above, naturally eating less spicy food may indirectly induce symptoms. There are also some foods that you can't eat every day, such as chestnut, peanuts, beans, bamboo shoots, seaweed and so on. And wine, cola, sprite and other drinks.
So many things that can't be eaten, let's talk about what gout can eat:
Staple food: noodles, oats, coarse grains, millet, etc. The content of these purines is relatively low.
Vegetables: carrots, tomatoes, cauliflower, spinach, lettuce, etc. Boiling has the best effect and is relatively light.
Fruits: plums, strawberries, pineapples, cherries, apples, bananas, papayas, etc. Low fructose content.
Other categories: such as milk and eggs.
Don't underestimate gout or take it seriously. Once it hurts, you will doubt your life. All diseases don't happen in a day or two, and many of them are caused by long-term irregular diet. Therefore, you must hold back what you can't eat, and don't let your body pay the price for a temporary addiction. I can only feel as bad as myself. Usually, we should exercise more to strengthen our physique, listen to the doctor's arrangement, treat and use drugs reasonably, and form a law.
