Suitable planting time of chives in four seasons
Four-season chives can be planted in all seasons, and there are two methods for planting. Among them, the root seedling method can be carried out in April-May or 9-1October under normal circumstances, and the seed seedling method can be planted in March-April or September-1October.
Planting methods and key points of four seasons chives
1, soil preparation and fertilization
Seasoned chives should be planted in sandy loam with sufficient light and deep fertility. Before planting, sufficient base fertilizer should be applied. Farmhouse decomposed soil and a small amount of calcium superphosphate can be used as base fertilizer. When preparing the soil, the clods in the soil should be completely broken and harrowed, and the soil should be finely divided, furrowed and fertilized evenly. In winter, a layer of plastic film can be covered to increase the ground temperature, so that one more season of shallots can be harvested. 2. Seedling raising
To choose the best four-season onion seedling, after it germinates, spread the seeds on the soil surface, then cover it with about 1~2 cm, wait for germination, and transplant and plant in 4~5 weeks after germination.
Points for attention in the management of four-season chives
The root distribution of Allium fistulosum is shallow, its absorption capacity is weak, and it is not tolerant to concentrated fertilizer and drought and flood. It is suggested to water it frequently and do a good job of drainage after rain. After the seedlings are delayed at a fixed value, it is necessary to topdressing organic fertilizer in time, preferably phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, in order to raise stubble.
