1 Qiao Family Courtyard Qiao Family Courtyard is located in Qixian County, 54 kilometers north of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. It was built at the end of18th century (1644-1911) by influential Qiao family members at that time. The whole quadrangle covers an area of 4 175 square meters (0.42 hectares) and consists of 6 main courtyards and 20 small rooms, with 3 13 rooms. From the pavilion in the southwest corner, it is a good way for you to have a bird's eye view of the whole building complex. Chinese characters are engraved on the door, reflecting people's vision of praying for a long life. There are all kinds of red lanterns hanging in the yard, and the carvings on the roof are very beautiful. 2.
