Author Yang Wanli? Dynasty Song
After all, the West Lake is in the middle of June, and the scenery is not the same as that of the four seasons.
The lotus leaves in the sky are infinitely blue, and the lotus flowers in the sun are differently red.
Translation:
The scenery of the West Lake in June in the end and other seasons are not the same: the dense layers of the lotus leaves spread out, and the blue sky connected, an endless verdant green; that pavilion of lotus blooms bloom buds in full bloom, in the sunlight, appearing exceptionally bright and delicate red.
Sending Lin Zifang out of the Temple of Pure Ci in the morning
This set of poems was written in the 14th year of Chunxi of Emperor Xiaozong of the Song Dynasty (1187). After Lin Zifang received his bachelor's degree, he served as the secretary of the Cabinet, and Yang Wanli was his superior and close friend. At this time, Lin Zifang went to Fuzhou, Yang Wanli wrote these poems when he passed by the West Lake in Hangzhou in the early morning to send off Lin Zifang from the Jingci Temple near the West Lake.
Yang Wanli's poems are characterized by white descriptions, and in this respect, this poem is one of his masterpieces. The poem describes the special scenery that made him fall in love with it, and focuses on the red and charming lotus flowers in the midst of the endless turquoise color, which makes the beautiful scenery of West Lake in June very different from the usual ones, and writes a very vivid description of it. The last two lines of the poem are intertextual, interlaced with each other in the meaning of the poem, so that the poem is not only vivid, but also cohesive and implicit.
