This week's business trip in Guangzhou seems like a century to me! I seem to have forgotten how I spent those years in Dubai without children!
I used to envy people who traveled everywhere. I think they can experience different customs everywhere. They can stay in hotels and travel for free.
However, I only see the beautiful scenery or beautiful exotic customs of other cities that they bask in in their circle of friends. When I'm not immersed in it, I don't feel the hardships of traveling at all.
Later, I worked in foreign trade and finally lived a business trip. I finally have a real understanding of business trip. Now I don't envy those who travel on business any more.
The trip to the Canton Fair twice a year, although there is no need for jet lag, but the distance of 2,300 kilometers, the nearly ten-hour train ride and the transit in Shenzhen are enough to make us exhausted. Especially on the day of each return trip, I have to get up and go home at five o'clock in the morning.
Not to mention going abroad on business. I still remember two years ago, my boss and I went to Turkey on business for half a month. This is a painful half month.
First of all, the dry climate in Turkey makes me get angry every day. Clothes hung in the hotel every night will automatically dry the next morning.
Then, Turkish barbecue is super famous, and there are barbecues everywhere, which is a disaster for me, a herbivore. Every meal, I can hardly find many vegetables. In order to have enough physical strength to work every day, I can only force myself to swallow the meat. Turkey's dry climate and the meat of every meal, my lips are always dry, even cracked and bleeding for half a month.
At that time, we went with the group, but after the week-long exhibition, employees from other companies followed the group for two days, such as the Asia-Europe Bridge, Cotton Castle and other famous attractions. However, with the end of the exhibition, my miserable trip to Turkey has just begun.
When joining a group, we can think nothing, just be fools and listen to the tour guide. A week after the exhibition, I followed my boss to visit customers in various cities in Turkey. The boss can't speak English. It's my task to contact customers in every city, buy tickets and book hotels.
That week, we went to Ankara, Istanbul, konya, Izmir, IsPaltta and other places. Every day, we spend almost half our time on the road and half our time in meetings with customers. When we return to the hotel every night, it is already late at night.
Although the trip to Turkey is hard, there are also many warm-hearted moments.
What moved me most was the hospitality of the Turkish people. Our customers, needless to say. When customers in every city heard that we were coming, they enthusiastically helped us buy air tickets, invited us to dinner, booked hotels, and even picked us up at the airport after a few hours' drive. As the boss of a company, they can spare a whole day to accompany us. At that time, our boss also felt that the hospitality of Turkish customers made us feel ashamed. At that time, the boss stated that he must treat our customers well in the future. (Of course, you may not be able to do it if you say it. )
Besides customers, Turkish locals are also very hospitable. I remember that we were at a long-distance bus station and were going to buy tickets in another city. This is a very small city, and no one in the whole bus station can speak English. Every time I see someone, I run over and ask, "Can you talk? English? " However, everyone smiled and shook their heads. They want to help, but they can't help at all. Later, I finally found a woman who is a professor at a local university. She enthusiastically helped us translate, and then sat next to my seat and talked with me all the way. When I finally got off the bus. She just stopped a taxi for me, explained my destination to the driver, handed me her mobile phone number, and told me that if there were any problems in Turkey these days, she could call her at any time. The hospitality of Turkish female professors still lingers in my mind. Maybe there is a fate called meeting by chance. The only thing I can do is to pass this love on!
Another thing that impressed me about Turkey is that many cities are built on hillsides. At that time, I joked with my customer: "Your driving skills are really good, otherwise, if you are a novice, the traffic lights are on the hillside and it is easy to turn off." Customers are also very humorous. They say they drive like a rocket, and they are super skilled.
When I finished my business trip in Turkey for half a month, I lost five pounds, which made me even smaller.
I don't want to come again, whether it's a business trip in Guangzhou or Turkey. Maybe when we have children, we have a lot of troubles in our hearts. Every day I wonder what my son is doing today and whether everything is going well. Perhaps, a little girl like me is doomed to failure, and there is too much affection in my blood.
The friend said, "Some people are generals, but there are always people who are soldiers." And I am willing to be a soldier who can accompany my children. However, Xiao Bing will also strive to make progress and set a good example for children!
