Translation: When the fourth watch arrives at the beginning of the day, the north wind brings a heavy snow; this auspicious snow given to us by God arrives just on New Year's Eve, which indicates a good harvest in the coming year. Before the half-filled glass of Tusu wine could be raised to celebrate the New Year, I wrote the peach symbols welcoming the Spring Festival in cursive script under the light.
2. "Tian Jia Yuan Day" Meng Haoran [Tang Dynasty]

The father plowed the fields, and the shepherd boy followed him with the hoe.
The Tian family accounts for the climate, and the emperor said that this year will be good.
Translation: Last night the handle of the Big Dipper turned to the east, and this morning the new year begins again. I am forty years old this year. Although I have no official position, I still worry about the people. Close to the farmers working in the fields full of mulberry trees, carrying hoes and working together with the shepherd boys. Farmers speculated on this year's natural climate and said it would be a good harvest year.
3. "Yuan Day" by Wang Anshi (Song Dynasty)
With the sound of firecrackers, one year is gone, and the spring breeze brings warmth to Tusu.
Thousands of households always exchange old talismans for new peaches.
Translation: The old year has passed with the sound of firecrackers, and we happily drink Tusu wine in the warm spring breeze. The rising sun shines on thousands of households, and they all take off the old peach charms and replace them with new ones.
4. "New Year's Greetings" by Wen Zhengming [Ming Dynasty]

Translation: When friends pay New Year greetings, they always hand over their business cards without asking to meet, so my house is filled with valuable greeting cards. I also follow the trend and send greetings to others. People think it is easier, but they don't think it is an empty courtesy.

Traveling all the way to Sanba Road, you are in danger for thousands of miles.
On a snowy night in the chaotic mountains, a stranger is alone.
Gradually distanced from flesh and blood, and turned to children and servants.
I am wandering now, and I will look new tomorrow.
Translation: Trekking on the rugged and remote Sanba Road, living in a dangerous place thousands of miles away. The remaining snow on the chaotic mountains shimmers in the dark night, and a candlelight accompanies me, a stranger in a foreign land. As he became farther and farther away from his relatives, he gradually became closer to the book boy and the servant. It's really unbearable to spend New Year's Eve wandering, and tomorrow will be a new year.
