Go to Huimin Street and buy some of Jia Yongxin’s waxed beef and mutton (about 20 yuan), and Huanggui persimmon cakes (50 cents each, vacuum packaging is slightly more expensive). They don’t cost much per day. All are vacuum packed, easy to carry and have a long shelf life. The cured beef and mutton can be eaten immediately after you bring it home. The persimmon cake needs to be heated up before you get it home to taste better!
