Pinyin name La Jiāo Tou
Origin: It is the root of pepper, a plant in the Solanaceae family.
Functional Indications: Treat weakness of hands and feet and swelling of kidney capsule.
Attached Recipe
1. To treat weakness in the hands and feet, like paralysis: two chili pepper heads, fifteen pairs of chicken feet (cut off from above the knees), two taels of peanut meat, and six red dates . Stew half and half with water and wine and take it. ("Lingnan Medicine Collection")
2. To treat swelling of the kidney cyst: decoct chili pepper heads and pork essence and take it in soup. ("Lingnan Medicine Collection")
Clinical application in the treatment of functional uterine bleeding: Take 5 qian of pepper roots (1 tael fresh), 2 to 4 chicken feet, decoct and take 2 times. After the bleeding stops, continue taking 5 to 10 doses to consolidate the curative effect. According to follow-up observations of 31 cases, bleeding can generally be stopped by taking 2 to 3 doses. Most of the cured cases were able to resume their menstrual cycles, and only 2 cases recurred.
