"Flying Swords of Dragon Gate"? The true identity and historical prototype of Gongyu Huatian of Xichang Factory is Wang Zhi, the governor of Xichang Factory.

"Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" is the sequel to "New Dragon Gate Inn". It is the first true 3D martial arts movie in Greater China after Hong Kong in mainland China, and has also become the first Chinese-language film in the history after Cantonese. The first officially certified IMAX 3D movie.

Behind the Scenes

1. This film is the first official collaboration between Zhang Zhiliang and Tsui Hark. Zhang Zhiliang serves as the director of Group B. In fact, Tsui Hark initially hoped to shoot the martial arts parts himself, while leaving the literary parts to Zhang Zhiliang. Unfortunately, this wish did not come true due to the schedule issues of several leading actors.

2. The plot of this film is extended from "New Dragon Inn". Jet Li will play Liang Jiahui's character "Zhou Huaian" in the previous film, but his name was changed to "Zhao Huaian".
