Historical development of the school:
In 1988, the first New Oriental Culinary School in China was established; in 1990, it successively set up colleges and universities in 18 provinces and cities across the country; in 1996, New Oriental Culinary Education, as the only culinary education institution in China, successfully co-organized the Sixth National Chef's Festival; in 2000. In 2000, New Oriental Culinary Education was honored with the Gold Medal of Famous Dishes Competition in the First China Food Festival.
