Working principle of antifreeze:

The winterization system mainly separates wax from oil through low-temperature crystallization.

Overwintering can be divided into wet type and dry type.

(a) wet winterization

The principle is that after the decoloration stage of edible oil, the soap foot particles are used as seeds, and after rapid crystallization, the wax crystals are separated with water. However, because some wax will remain after rapid crystallization, the standard reached after crystallization is 5.5 hours, and there is still no wax crystallization at 0℃. If less conditions are needed to cause low-temperature atomization, another slow crystal can be added after deodorization, and trace wax and sugar can be removed by fine filtration.

The advantages are that the cost of using filter additives such as lignocellulose and diatomite is reduced, and the frequency of replacing filter tanks in operation is reduced.

(2) Dry overwintering

The principle is that the edible oil is decolorized or deodorized, then slowly cooled and crystallized to make wax crystals grow into large crystals, and the large and small wax crystals are removed by using filter AIDS such as lignocellulose and diatomite, so that the wax in the oil is almost completely removed.

The advantage is that according to the requirements of winterized oil, it can reach the conditions of 12HR, 0℃ or 24HR, and 0℃ without atomization, which can be controlled by crystallization time and filtration conditions.
