Treatment principles
The main method is to invigorate the spleen and replenish qi, strengthen the spleen and resolve dampness in the underlying condition; remove dampness and activate the spleen in the underlying condition.
Treatment guidelines
Invigorating the spleen and replenishing qi is the main method of treatment. If the deficiency is the main factor, the treatment should be to strengthen the spleen, with the help of removing dampness; if the deficiency is the main factor, the treatment should be to remove dampness and strengthen the spleen.
Drug treatment
1. Vomiting due to spleen deficiency: caused by spleen weakness and stomach qi going up and down. Treatment Principles: Strengthen the spleen and stomach and relieve vomiting. Main recipe: Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction.
2. Spleen deficiency and diarrhea: spleen deficiency and loss of luck, caused by dampness in the intestines. Treatment Principles: Strengthen the spleen, expel dampness and stop diarrhea. Main prescription: Shenling Baizhu Powder plus or minus.
3. Edema due to spleen deficiency: caused by spleen deficiency and water cessation, which overflows the skin. Treatment principle: Warming the spleen, diuresis and reducing swelling. Main prescription: Shipi Yin with addition or subtraction.
4. Bleeding due to spleen deficiency: The spleen is weak and the blood is out of control. Treatment Principles: Strengthen the spleen, replenish qi and absorb blood. Main prescription: Shengmai Yin and Heshenfu Decoction with addition or subtraction.
5. Spleen deficiency and leukorrhagia: Spleen deficiency results in inability to transport and transform, causing accumulation of dampness and injuring the Ren and Belt meridians. Treatment principles: Strengthen the spleen and replenish qi, promote yang and remove dampness. Main Recipe: Complete with soup, decoct in water and take.
6. Amenorrhea due to spleen deficiency: mostly due to weakness of the spleen and stomach and failure to carry out good health. Treatment principles: Nourish the spleen and stomach, nourish qi and blood. Main recipe: Bazhen Decoction with addition and subtraction.
7. Excessive salivation due to spleen deficiency: Excessive salivation in children is caused by insufficient spleen and inability to distribute body fluids. Treatment Principle: Tonify the spleen and absorb body fluid. Main prescription: Wuwei Yi Gong Powder plus or minus.
8. Spleen deficiency causes wind: Spleen deficiency triggers internal wind, which is mostly caused by vomiting and diarrhea or damage to the spleen by medicine or food. Treatment Principles: Tonify the spleen and calm wind. Main ingredient: Liujunzi soup with scorpion tail, ginger and cinnamon.
9. Ball-like spleen due to spleen deficiency: caused by spleen deficiency holding dampness or insufficient qi and blood, and deficiency of fire blocking the qi. Treatment principles: Mainly tonify the spleen and replenish qi, supplemented by medicine for dispelling evil. Main prescription: modified Buzhong Yiqi Decoction.
10. Spleen deficiency generates heat: due to spleen deficiency, internal dampness stagnates, causing heat generation over a long period of time. There is no nourishment of qi and blood, water and dampness cannot be transformed, and yin deficiency and yang excess. Treatment principles: Mainly invigorating the spleen and qi, nourishing qi and blood, supplemented by clearing away heat from deficiency and nourishing kidney yin. Main prescription: Ginseng Jianpi Pills and Zhibai Dihuang Pills.
