Ning 'an has a temperate continental monsoon climate. The annual average temperature is 3.5℃, spring is short, winter and summer are distinct, and the temperature and precipitation change greatly during the year. The precipitation is 400 ~ 600 mm, and the potential of light energy is great, which is equivalent to the amount of solar radiation in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The annual average sunshine hours are 2600 ~ 2700 hours, and the active accumulated temperature greater than or equal to 10℃ is 2300 ~ 2700℃.

In the growing season of crops, the daily light amount is 8 ~ 10 hour, and it can reach 13 ~ 14 hour in summer. The soil type is mainly dark brown soil, followed by albic soil, meadow soil, river silt soil, swamp soil, peat soil and stony loam soil. The soil has high fertility (organic matter content 1.5% ~ 20%, PH 5 ~ 7.5) and good water and fertilizer retention performance. Historical legends

A long time ago, there lived an old pianist who was good at playing guqin near Longquan House in Shangjing. He has a beautiful daughter named Shuier, and they live together. The king of Bohai County saw Shuier's outstanding appearance and put her into the palace. The old violinist misses the water very much. Every day, he sits on the basalt beside Mudanjiang and plays the piano, pinning his thoughts.

Later, the old pianist died, but the sound of the piano still echoed in the fields, so people called this place "Missing Water". Because the rice produced in this area is particularly delicious, people call the rice here "Xiangshuier" rice, which is now Xiangshui rice.
