White Dragon King: Royal hairtail fish (scientific name: Regalecus glesne), also known as Leshi's royal hairtail fish, commonly known as Dragon Palace Messenger, White Dragon King, Dragon King Fish, Big Hairtail Fish, Big Herring King, Oar Fish, Earthquake Fish, It is one of the ray-finned fishes, the order Moonfish, and the family Oarfish. People usually think of them as monsters that sweep across the sea floor and destroy everything. They have also been mistaken for legendary "dragons" in Southeast Asia. Distributed in all oceans around the world, it is a deep-sea fish. There are 9 species in 3 families in the world. Currently (as of 2011), only 1 species has been recorded in Taiwan, namely Ishikawa's rough-finned fish. Whether the appearance of this fish is related to the earthquake remains to be studied by experts.
