The protagonist of the story is a college student who spends her vacation working at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo.
The college girl is assigned to wash toilets in this five-star hotel.
On her first day, she almost vomits when she reaches into the toilet bowl and scrubs it.
After a few days of barely surviving, she decided to quit her job.
But at this critical moment, the college student realized that one of the older cleaners she worked with had actually scooped up a cup of water from the toilet and drank it after the cleaning job was done.
The university student was dumbfounded, but the old cleaner proudly said that the toilet he had cleaned was so clean that he could even drink the water in it!
This gesture inspired the college student and made her realize that the so-called spirit of dedication is that any job, regardless of its nature, has ideals, realms, and higher qualities that can be pursued; and the meaning and value of a job does not lie in how high or low it is, but in the ability of the person doing it to do it. The meaning and value of the work is not in its high or low, but in the work of the people, whether to focus on the work itself, to dig or create the fun and enthusiasm.
Since then, and then into the toilet, college students no longer cited as a bitter, but as a self-training and enhancement of the dojo, every cleaning toilet, but also always clear to ask themselves:
"Can I scoop a cup of water from this drink?"
At the end of the vacation, when the manager accepts the results of the assessment, the female college student scoops a cup of water from the toilet she cleaned and drinks it in front of everyone!
This act also shocked everyone in the room, and made the manager think that this work-study student was an absolute must-have!
After graduation, the student went on to work at the Imperial Hotel.
By the age of 37, she was the best and fastest rising employee at the Imperial Hotel in Japan, thanks to her incredible dedication.
After the age of 37, she entered politics and was recognized by Prime Minister Koizumi, who made her Minister of Posts and Telecommunications in the Japanese Cabinet!
The name of this university student was Noda Seiko.
To this day, the 44-year-old Cabinet minister, who is considered to have great potential for the prime minister's seat, is said to introduce herself by saying:
"I am the most dedicated toilet cleaner and the most loyal Cabinet minister! ......"
......
It was a bit disbelieving at first reading, followed by shock, then admiration, respect and admiration for her from the deepest part of my soul. So, I quickly decided that during class, I must tell my students a story, a true story that happened in Japan ......
