Horseshoe Temple Cave Group is located in the south of Zhangye, Gansu Province, and consists of seven parts: Qianfo Temple, Horseshoe Temple South Temple, Horseshoe Temple North Temple, Upper, Middle and Lower Guanyin Cave and Jinta Temple. This cave group was founded in the Sixteen Kingdoms period and has been excavated and expanded by several generations. At present, there are precious cultural relics such as statues and murals of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Sui Dynasty, Tang Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty, which are typical representatives in the development history of cave temples in China. The "Thirty-three Days" Grottoes in the North Temple of Horseshoe Temple are distributed on a cliff with a height of 2m-40m, with 7 floors of 2 1 grottoes. The grottoes are excavated on a large scale, which is a landmark building in the horseshoe temple grottoes and occupies an important position in the history of grottoes construction in China. The rock mass reinforcement project of the North Hall of the Mazi Temple Cave Group has devoted the painstaking efforts of the construction workers and the researchers of cultural relics protection. During the construction period, the competent department and the construction, construction and supervision units shall strictly abide by the relevant provisions of the Law on the Protection of Cultural Relics and the Measures for the Administration of Cultural Relics Protection Projects, and assume their respective responsibilities. They not only drew and photographed every working procedure, strengthened construction management and ensured the quality of the project, but also took effective measures such as smashing, bumping and pollution prevention around statues and murals, so that the reinforcement and restoration project was completed on September 16. In order to repair the famous "33-day" tunnel, folk masons were hired to chisel the anti-skid steps, and the original handrails were replaced by Korean pine in Northeast China, thus ensuring the safety of cultural relics and tourists.
The responsible comrades of Zhangye Cultural Relics Protection Research Institute believe that the completion of the reinforcement and restoration project of the rock mass in the north hall of Mazi Cave Group is not only the treatment and elimination of dangerous "diseases", but also the restoration and restoration of internal functions. During the National Day of 2006, when the cultural relics grottoes closed for nearly five years reopened, they won the affirmation and praise of tourists. The same evaluation of the reinforcement and restoration project is to repair the old as before, restore the original flavor, and make the style of the historical relics grottoes colorful!
