The origin of the Manchu-Han banquet:

The Kangxi Emperor was the longest reigning emperor in the history of China. In order to ease the conflict between the Manchus and the Han, Kangxi organized a banquet for three days on his 66th birthday, and ordered the Imperial Cuisine to make more than 300 kinds of delicious dishes to entertain the Manchus and Han ministers. Kangxi also gave the word on the spot "Manchu-Chinese banquet". Since then, the production of exquisite, rich in raw materials, color and flavor of the Manchu-Han banquet has become a treasure of China's food culture.

Man Han feast generally have 108, meat and vegetables, with fine materials, mountain treasures and seafood everything. Scholar Li Douzhi in the "Yangzhou Boat Record" described the feast of the Manchu banquet: luxury Manchu banquet, exquisite dishes, including bird's nest chicken soup, kelp and pork belly soup, abalone sinks pearl dish, tamarind shrimp soup, shark's fin crab soup, fish maw simmered with ham and steamed camel's hump, slices of pears with steamed fruit in-laws, steamed deer's tail, crucian carp tongue braised bear's paw, bad steamed anchovy, and so on.

When eating a full Manchu feast, generally eat Manchu dishes first, then eat Han dishes, and then change over.
