For people who often go out to socialize, work overtime, or work the night shift, we recommend a health-preserving soup - American ginseng, dendrobium, and abalone soup. American ginseng not only nourishes qi and yin, but also clears fire and promotes body fluids; dendrobium nourishes the stomach, promotes body fluids, nourishes yin and removes heat; abalone nourishes the liver, improves eyesight, and is tonifying without drying out. The three are combined, nourishing yin and reducing fire, nourishing yin and promoting body fluid, nourishing the liver and benefiting the stomach. At the same time, it is also very suitable for people who smoke and drink too much.
Ingredients: 15 grams of American ginseng, 10 grams of dendrobium, 8 soaked dried abalones (you can also use fresh abalone if you don’t have dried abalone), 1 chicken shell (peeled) (you can also use pork bones) , a piece of lean meat, 5 red dates, 10 grams of wolfberry, 3 slices of ginger, an appropriate amount of cooking wine, and an appropriate amount of salt.
Step 1: Take a clean pot, pour an appropriate amount of water and a small amount of cooking wine and bring to a boil. After the water boils, add the chicken and lean meat and blanch them. Remove them and rinse away the oil with running water.
Step 2: Dried abalone must be soaked before use (I will find a special issue on how to soak dried abalone in the future). Fresh abalone can be used directly. Cut the soaked abalone into slices.
Step 3: Pour the remaining ingredients except American ginseng and wolfberry into the soup pot, add an appropriate amount of water, and officially start making the soup. Bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for an hour.
Step 4: Add American ginseng and wolfberry, continue to cook for half an hour.
Step 5: Add appropriate amount of salt to taste before drinking (one thing to note is that dried abalone is salty, it is recommended to drink the original flavor of the soup and then add salt to taste before adjusting the salt).
Ladle the soup and drink it ~
This healthy soup is very simple to make, and it is quite decent for entertaining guests. It is suitable for daily soup making at home.
