As the largest vegetable wholesale market in China, Shouguang Vegetable Wholesale Market is a barometer of vegetable production and supply in China. Vegetables from more than 20 provinces and cities across the country are transferred and distributed here. At the peak, the daily vegetable trade here exceeds10 million Jin. Shouguang grows 800,000 mu of vegetables all the year round, with an annual output of 8 billion Jin. According to statistics from relevant departments in Beijing, vegetables from Shandong accounted for 55% of Beijing's consumption last year, and more than half of them arrived in Beijing from Shouguang.
