The prices of dried mulberries of different qualities and regions vary, ranging from 20-30 yuan/jin.

Most of the mulberries are densely packed into an oval or oblong fruit, which is composed of many small drupes. It is oblong, 2-3cm long and 1.2-1.8cm in diameter. It is green when first ripe and turns fleshy, black-purple or red when mature. The seeds are small. The flowering period is from March to May, and the fruiting period is from May to June. Mulberries also appear in yellow-brown, brown-red to dark purple (the rarer colors turn milky white when mature), and have short inflorescence stems. The small drupe is oval, slightly flat, about 2mm long and 1mm wide, with 4 fleshy tepals on the outside. The smell is slightly sour and sweet.
