The Chaozhou gongs and drums are a kind of traditional instrumental blowing and beating music of the Han nationality in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, which is popular in the eastern part of Guangdong. Originally, they were a kind of small-scale wind and percussion music which mainly played stringed poetic music, but later they were processed and developed by absorbing the music of the opera. Chaozhou gongs and drums are divided into Chaozhou big gongs and drums, Chaozhou small gongs and Chaozhou Su gongs and drums, among which Chaozhou big gongs and drums are the most famous.
