Main Responsibilities

(1) Implement the central and provincial laws, regulations, rules and policies on education, formulate the city's education reform and development plans and policies and organize their implementation.

(2) Responsible for the overall planning and coordinated management of all types of education at all levels in the city, formulating implementation details in conjunction with relevant departments in accordance with the central and provincial school establishment standards; carrying out standardized and standardized school creation activities; responsible for Statistics, analysis and release of basic education information.

(3) Comprehensive management of basic education, vocational education, and adult education in the city, formulating relevant management measures and organizing their implementation.

(4) Responsible for the city’s education supervision work, guiding the city’s education and teaching research and educational information technology work.

(5) Guide the development and reform of employment-oriented vocational education.
