The cutting method and season of Schefflera are as follows:
1. Cutting time
Schefflera can be cut from April to June every year. The temperature gradually warms up during this period, which is very suitable for the growth of Schefflera.
2. Prepare the soil
The cutting substrate of Schefflera niger requires good air permeability and drainage. Prepare some river sand, clean it, mix it with some perlite and mix it evenly. Just cultivate the soil.
3. Select cuttings
From Schefflera plants that are growing well, select branches that have grown for 1-2 years. Strong, ungerminated branches without diseases and insect pests are the best. Use sterilized scissors to cut off 15-25 cm of branches, leaving only 1-2 young leaves at the top. Cut the bottom end of the branch into a 45° bevel, soak it in the rooting solution for about 30 minutes, take it out and place it in a cool place to dry.
4. Cuttings
Prepare a suitable flower pot, place a tile on the bottom and fill it with culture soil. Insert Schefflera branches into culture soil, accounting for about 1/2 or 2/3 of the branches, and place them indoors in a place with weak light for curing. During this period, the temperature is controlled at 20-25°C, and water is sprayed regularly to keep the soil moist. It is also necessary to spray water once a day on sunny days. Roots can take root in 30-45 days.
