La-la mayflies generally live in the north (especially common in the northeast). The main living environment is in the rural areas of the northeast. Generally active at night, but when the temperature is suitable, can also be active during the day. When the relative humidity of the soil is 22% to 27%, mole crickets in North China are the most harmful. When the soil is dry, there is little activity and the damage is light.
The lala mayflies live underground and can burrow 15 to 20 centimeters deep in wet soil. The forelegs are suitable for shoveling, the body is cylindrical, the head is pointed, and the body is covered with downy fine hairs. There are wings, can come out of the hole at night. The oviposition tube is not prominent. Eggs are laid in soil burrows, and plants are stored in the burrows as food for hatching out of the wakame. European mole crickets have the habit of guarding the eggs and wakefulness, eating plant roots, and when occurring in large numbers, damaging crops and gardens.
