Tutorial on making rose nectar

Ingredients preparation: 250g fresh rose petals, 250g rock sugar, 2 lemons, honey

(This is the amount for two servings. One pound of buds contains about 250g of rose petals. It is recommended that you buy edible rose buds. Most of the roses in flower shops are produced in greenhouses and may contain some pesticide residues)

Utensil preparation: Pickling jar

Step 1: Pick petals

Take the petals of the rose from the center of the flower and remove the center and pedicle.

(There is no need to wash rose petals. If you want to wash them, be sure to use a hair dryer to dry them with cold air after washing. Do not dry them in the sun, otherwise the rose petals will not be so fresh and the fragrance will be gone)

< p>Step 2: Dry the picked rose petals with kitchen paper or a dry towel (no water should be allowed)

Step 3: Rub the lemon repeatedly with salt to wash off the skin wax.

Step 4: Remove the head and tail of the lemon, cut into slices, and remove the seeds. (It will be a bit bitter if you don’t remove the seeds)

Step 5: Dry the jar without any water

Step 6: Place the roses at the bottom of the jar, about one-third of the way up. Place lemon slices in position 1, then add rose petals. When two-thirds of the way into the jar is filled, add rock sugar and finally pour in honey to seal it. After making, place it in a cool place for one night. After the rock sugar melts, put it in the refrigerator.

(Just put a layer of honey on the surface. If you like it sweeter, you can put more honey. Put it in the refrigerator and wait for a week.)
