The scientific name of palm tree is palm, and the scientific name of sunflower tree is Pukui. The difference between Baidu can actually be found in many related contents. I won't copy those, just say my own judgment method:

Mainly looking at the leaves, the leaves of mallow are much larger than those of palm, and the cracks on the leaves are much shallower, so the leaves of mallow are more suitable for making fans. Another most obvious difference is that the tips of palm leaf lobes are mostly stiff, while the tips of palm leaf lobes are V-shaped long (up to 50 cm) filiform pendulous leaflets.
