British research: Squid will deliberately eat less Chinese food for dinner.
Cephalopods, such as octopus and squid, often show impressive behaviors, such as Squidward Tentacles, who can predict the teams that won the World Cup before, or the body color of squid changes with the environment. Pauline Mario Velarde, a neuroscientist at the University of Cambridge in England and the University of Caen in France, conducted a new study: Squid lunches are eaten sparingly because dinner is delicious.

Cotton candy experiment: wait and get better returns. In the first stage of this study, we first observed 29 favorite foods of squid. The research team fed squid, crab and shrimp at the same time for five days in a row, and found that these 29 squid especially like to eat shrimp. So in the second stage, the research team divided the squid into two groups. Chinese food in both groups is crab, but one group eats shrimp for dinner and the other group eats random food. Those squid who often feed shrimp know that dinner will be their favorite shrimp. In the subsequent 16 experiment, it was found that this group of squid ate less and less Chinese food, and they ate a lot of shrimp at dinner time. There was no difference in the food intake of the random group in the next experimental day. Then the diet patterns of the two groups of squid were exchanged, and it was found that the squid in the random group would also eat shrimp regularly for dinner and eat crabs less at noon.

The "marshmallow experiment" was conducted in Stanford University on 1970. Give a marshmallow to children aged 3 to 5 and tell them to wait 15 minutes to get another marshmallow. The experimental results show that only about one third of the children in 1 can tolerate this 15 minute. From June 5438 to June 2020 10, there was a similar study in Cambridge University, England: the marshmallow test of crows was similar to that of children.

▲ Squid deity is also delicious.

Relevant scientific literature has been published in the Royal Society, showing that cuttlefish can restrain eating if they know better and rely on foraging cognition in the future. The food will come soon, and the "smart" squid will refuse to eat crabs at lunch if they know there is shrimp for dinner.
