Dragon Wonton Restaurant, a Chinese time-honored snack at Chunxi Road, and Lai Tangyuan Restaurant next to Parkson are all good food choices for foreigners to come to Chengdu.
Many famous snacks in Chengdu are named after their founders' surnames, such as Zhong Dumplings, Han Steamed Buns, Lai Tangyuan and Zhang Liangfen. "Zhong Dumpling" is different from the dumplings in the north. The stuffing is pure meat, mixed with sweet and spicy red oil and dipped in water, which has a unique flavor. Korean steamed stuffed bun tastes ordinary, but the meat is quite tender. Although "Lai Tangyuan" has a great reputation, many old Chengdu prefer the fragrance of "Guo Tangyuan" to being greasy.
"braised pork pot helmet" is similar to the "Chinese hamburger" in Shaanxi in form, but the meat in the "Chinese hamburger" is minced bacon, while the meat in the "braised pork pot helmet" is sliced meat poured with gravy, which is very fragrant. Previously, I only knew that the "braised pork pot helmet" sold by Dandan Noodles concourse in Luoma City was the most authentic. In the past two years, a large number of pot helmet shops of various sizes have sprung up all over Chengdu. The "Le Lai Guo Kui" opposite the Third Hospital of Babao Street tastes very good. In addition to braised pork, there are many varieties, such as ear pieces, beef, three silk and so on, and the price is around 2.5 yuan.
You can't miss the "Three Cannons". You can see that the master skillfully smashed the sticky rice dough in his hand along the chopping board and landed it on a plate filled with peanut powder, making three noises along the way. I once ate the "Three Cannons" with noise in the Cultural Palace, but their noise was made by the metal plates placed on the chopping board. Although it was not very authentic, it tasted good, soft and sticky, and you could dip it in the red pond.
If you walk in the streets of Chengdu, you will often see someone carrying a bamboo basket on a pole and banging on the iron plate while walking. The sound of this iron piece is the cry of "Ding Ding Sugar". People who sell sugar always say that biting sugar melts in the mouth, which produces saliva and moistens the lungs, but I stick my teeth every time I eat it, which is probably too hasty. Ding Ding Tang also has many specialty stores, with many records, and sells sesame peanut candy, sweet-scented osmanthus candy, ginger candy and homemade desserts.
"Nine-footed salted duck" is a specialty in Pengshan area. It's delicious, crispy and tender, salty and sweet. I ate it for the first time at my classmate's home, so I didn't have the nerve to eat it, so I tasted it. When you talk, buy one and a half, or enjoy it alone, or drink with friends.
"Bangbangji" is also a popular snack in the past two years, with many font sizes, and Liao Ji is the most famous. Brand bags are well packed, changing the workshop-style business model in the past, and all chain stores are decorated in the same way, with bright windows and clean sanitation. It is said that bangbangji has a very complicated production process, one of which is to beat it with a wooden stick, which seems to be easier to taste. I don't think the taste is special either, but I like Hu Ji's boneless chicken feet and county liver very much. The water they mixed was not mixed at home anyway.
when it comes to Chengdu snacks, the most important thing is "chuanchuanxiang". "Chuanchuanxiang" and "Mala Tang" are agreed words, and these six words accurately summarize the characteristics of this snack. For many people, eating skewers is more about eating an atmosphere: everyone is around a mandarin duck pot, braving thick sweat, blowing cows in the open air, picking up a handful of scalded beef, looking around, pulling the meat pieces from the head of the stick into the oil dish, cooling down slightly, then putting them in the peanut and sea pepper dish, rolling them and stuffing them into the mouth, cool! Have another sip of snowflake or Lan Jian (beer) and make an exaggerated mouth turn. It's so comfortable! Chengdu has a string of Yulin, and Yulin Chuanchuanxiang has become a household name in Chengdu.
Pork intestines powder has become the main snack after noodles in Chengdu, which is distributed in the streets and alleys of the city, and its main names are as follows.
(1) All the signs of Chengdu pork intestines rice rolls are in the name of Shuangliu Baijia, which is said to be the earliest and most famous birthplace of pork intestines rice rolls in Chengdu. In those days, the old man Gao turned the small vermicelli into such delicious food. Now its Gaoji pork intestines powder has become a large restaurant, still supplying 2. 5 yuan/Bowl of Pork Intestines Powder, while providing more series dishes of Pork Intestines, the only drawback is that it is far from Chengdu;
(2) Qingshiqiao pork intestines rice rolls. The first place to bring pork intestines powder in Chengdu must be Qingshiqiao, where pork intestines powder is an old brand. The pork intestines powder is made by boiling sweet potato vermicelli in a cauldron of old soup (basically, it is cooked with more than ten kilograms of bonzi bone), adding various raw materials, and finally sprinkling cooked white pork intestines, which is the most popular snack in Chengdu.
(3) Section 4 of Hongxing Road, next to Suining Hotel, is said to be one of the three houses authorized by Master Gao personally in those years (I don't know if it was changed because of the demolition, if so, there is another one 5 meters along the side street opposite Suining Hotel. I thought the latter was more authentic before, but because the former is in the street, the business and reputation are much better;
(4) At the entrance of Jiangong Club on Ma 'an North Road, it is also an old-fashioned pork intestines powder;
(5) I don't think it's all written yet. There are too many delicious foods to be found in the streets.
The strange noodles near Chengdu No.7 Middle School are also very delicious (there are two companies connected together, one is called Xu Laoba strange noodles, and the other is called strange noodles, both of which are very delicious). If anyone wants to go, just ask where Chengdu No.7 Middle School is. Most people know that No.7 Middle School is the best middle school in Chengdu.
How can it not break?
