Hebei Baoding braised rice is made as follows:
1. Add an appropriate amount of warm water to the sweet potato starch (the water temperature should not be too high) and stir until it becomes sticky as shown.
2. Boil the stewed meat broth, which contains fat and various spices, over high heat and pour it into the starch porridge base. Pour one side and stir quickly until it becomes thick as shown.
3. Cut fresh green onions and fresh ginger into small pieces. Cut a piece of freshly braised pork belly into small dices. Add the onion and ginger into the starch paste and stir evenly.
4. Take a colander and a plastic bag and pour the starch paste into the plastic bag. After it is full, tie the mouth with a thin thread.
5. Put it into a pot of cold water. After everything is done, turn on the heat. After the fire comes to a boil, turn to low heat and simmer for about 2 hours. Turn off the heat and let it sit overnight. It will be ready the next day. When eating, remove the plastic bag and cut into slices.
