I heard that Slitti is a famous chocolate in Italy. Is this true?

Andrea Slitti's father opened Caffe Slitti in 1969.

His young son became fascinated with chocolate while delivering coffee to customers, mainly cafes and confectionary shops.

In 1986, the roastery was relocated to a larger location and a new coffee shop was added.

The resulting extra land gave Andrea Slitti the opportunity to create his own chocolate factory.

Although Slitti has formal training in chocolate making, he describes himself as self-taught.

Virtually all his knowledge of chocolate-making was gained during days and nights spent experimenting in the workshop.

He quickly mastered the art of chocolate making.

Start creating something "warm and wonderful" with chocolate.

His reputation gradually spread, articles about him continued to appear in newspapers and magazines, and some gourmets began to visit.

There were many invitations to Siliti to become a teacher, but he remained firm and refused to leave his shop.

But every year he generously takes 10 days to teach students in his own workshop some basic principles of chocolate making, as well as some knowledge about the history of cocoa and existing cocoa varieties.

In October 1993, at the urging of his peers, Slitti participated in the International Chocolate Exhibition held in Laragne, France.

At this showcase, he defeated 43 contestants and won the gold medal.

This is the first time an Italian has received this honor in France, and also qualifies him for the finals of the biennial Grand Prix International de Chocolat in Paris.

Slitti once again used his artistic expression to defeat chocolate craftsmen from France, the United Kingdom, Spain, the United States and Japan, and won the highest prize in the Grand Prix.

Make fun, quirky old-fashioned tools out of chocolate and sprinkle them with cocoa powder to give it a production feel.

These masterpieces of Slitti bring the art of using chocolate as a material to the extreme.

With this, he once again stole the show at the 1994 Perugia Chocolate Festival.

The chocolates he makes are visually very realistic and ingenious.
