Intestinal hemorrhage syndrome (HBS), also known as jejunal hemorrhage syndrome, intestinal hemorrhage, intestinal necrosis and clostridial enteritis, is a new acute and ultimately fatal intestinal disease. HBS is characterized by sudden, gradual and occasional massive hemorrhage of small intestine, followed by obstruction caused by nodule formation.
Intestinal necrosis, blood loss, intestinal obstruction and inactivation of sick cattle. The disease is most common in adult dairy cows in the early lactation period.
