Enshi in memory
When I leave home, I often say that I am from Enshi. In fact, there are 8 counties and cities in Enshi Prefecture (the state capital is in Enshi City), so to be precise, I am from Jianshi County, Enshi Prefecture, not from Enshi City. For those who are not familiar with Enshi administrative divisions, it is a bit difficult to understand this.

There are a thousand Hamlets in the hearts of a thousand people. Similarly, in the hearts of every Enshi person, there is also Enshi in his own memory.

When I was a child, my family was in the countryside. On the other side of the big river in front of my house is Enshi. The name of this river is Valley River (the upstream is Sun River). According to adults, this river flows down from the distant mountain (Sun River Township, Enshi), passes by my door, separates my home from Enshi, flows into Qingjiang River, and finally joins the Yangtze River and goes straight to the East China Sea!

Speaking of it, my family's ancestral home is really Enshi City. When my grandfather's mother remarried, she took my grandfather to Jianshi (my hometown) across the river, while my grandfather's brother stayed in Enshi. When I was young, we often went to visit relatives at Lao Lv's house across the river. When the basin river passes by my door, it flows between two mountains, so the canyon is deep. To the other side of the river, it takes almost three or four kilometers to get up and down, and the road is narrow and steep, which shows that it is very hard for children to take a trip. When crossing the river, if the water is not deep, adults can take our hands and take off their shoes to cross the river; But when the water rises, we must let adults carry it. Because the road is not easy to walk, and it is far away, I remember that I usually go back to Lao Lv's home in Enshi during the Spring Festival when my relatives hold weddings and funerals. Besides, I seldom walk around. Later, I went to college, and after working, I hardly stayed in my hometown, which made me have no special impression and memory of the Lao Lv family in Enshi. What I remember most is the narrow and steep hillside that goes up and down. Even though I have been away from my hometown for many years, I often dream of climbing mountains and wading across the river to visit relatives.

One more thing, you need to cross the Banjia River to the other side of the river, which is the "fair" every two days in the lunar calendar (called the fair in the north). The market is located in a small town called Baiyangping, and this place has left me many good memories. Every time I go to the market, my parents will go shopping and occasionally bring something from my home to sell. When they come back, most of them will bring something delicious to my brother and me, such as a sesame cake or a small cake, which is simply the most delicious thing in the world for us. Now that I think about it, my mouth is watering. Every New Year, my parents will carry corn and rice to the market and fry them into popcorn. After returning home, stick the popcorn with your own boiled corn syrup (scientific name should be corn syrup) or sweet potato syrup (sweet potato syrup), and then knead the popcorn from corn into a round popcorn ball, while the popcorn from rice is generally more beautiful, and the final product is a rectangular candy (rice candy). Take a bite, it is sweet and crisp, and the lips and teeth remain fragrant. These two things, when I was a child, were the necessary food for Chinese New Year at home, and they were also the biggest thoughts of children every year. Of course, apart from food, whenever children's day and Spring Festival come back from the market, parents will definitely buy us new clothes and let the children wear beautiful new clothes for the New Year. Later, with the development of local economy and traffic, there were fewer and fewer days to catch up across the river. That ancient small market is no longer as lively as it used to be, but that delicious food and happiness still remain in my heart. Now Baiyangping is basically a completely rebuilt town on the edge of National Highway 209, which is much larger than that small market. Every time I drive by, I will see the same snacks and many new clothes, and I will vaguely remember the beauty of that year!

Although it is only separated from Enshi by a river, I have never been to Enshi before I graduated from junior high school. On the other side of the river, the small market in Lao Lv Jia and Bai Yang Ping is dozens of kilometers away from Enshi City. Enshi in memory, the seat of the state capital, was definitely a "big city" at that time.

One day in the summer vacation after the senior high school entrance examination, my father suddenly said to me, let my brother and I go to Enshi by car and buy some books from Enshi's bookstore. I can't remember whether I was more excited or more upset. Anyway, my brother and I started from home, bought our own bus tickets and sat down in Enshi. Although Enshi was small compared with the present Enshi, it was too big for two silly boys who had never been out alone, and we couldn't find the north. It is impossible to remember exactly where the two brothers wandered in those days. I remember deeply that there was a bus, which should be the ring road. The two of us took this car, walked around Enshi, took a walk, looked at it, then got on the bus and took the bus. Finally, I found that the conductor of the bus always stared at us, and everyone should know us. I think I thought these two silly children came out to play by bus in such hot weather ... I remember it was very hot that day, so we got off and bought two bottles of soda in a roadside shop, which was very comfortable.

In this way, I took a bus in Enshi for most of the day. Finally, we didn't go out in Enshi, didn't find the legendary big bookstore, and didn't buy books. With a little awe of Enshi, we went home and ended our first "long journey" in life.

Today, many years later, when I returned to Enshi, I couldn't find my way without driving. I have worked hard to find the routes and buildings that I took the bus with my brother. Except for one or two places, I am still a little old. I have completely disappeared.

Due to the unique geographical conditions and environment in Enshi, Enshi has taken tourism as the most important development strategy and direction in recent years, and has achieved remarkable results, which has driven the rapid growth of the overall economy. It is for these reasons that I decided to return to Enshi from Beijing and built my first boutique hotel "Yuya Muyun" in the Grand Canyon Scenic Area. For the beauty of the bottom of my heart, and for the sake of leaving good memories in the hearts of Enshi guests!

Those memories are gradually leaving us, but a new and beautiful life is coming to us step by step!

That's enough!
