Dalian Institute of Sinopec is a central enterprise. Dalian Petrochemical Research Institute was officially put into use on September 20 17. Its predecessor was Fushun Petrochemical Research Institute, which was established in 1953. It is the earliest scientific research unit engaged in petroleum refining research in China. There are 736 employees in Dalian Institute, including 3 16 with senior titles and above, including China Academy of Engineering 1 person, National Talent Project 1 person, 8 experts enjoying special government allowance from the State Council, 4 senior experts from China Petrochemical Company and 3 outstanding experts from China Petrochemical Company. It has 15 R&D departments, 26 national and provincial directly affiliated institutions, such as the National Engineering Research Center for Harmless and Reutilized Industrial Wastewater and the National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Environmental Pollution Prevention in Petrochemical Industry. He has won 24 national scientific and technological progress awards and invention awards, 466 provincial and ministerial scientific research achievement awards, applied for 22 domestic and foreign patents 10022, and owned 499 proprietary technologies of China Petrochemical Company. Scientific research achievements have been applied to more than 860 sets of production devices in Russia, Japan, South Korea, Central Asia and other countries and regions, as well as 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country. It is a leading domestic and internationally renowned supplier of high-quality refining technology.
