Guangdong University of Science and Technology is located in Dongguan City, Guangdong Province.

It also includes two campuses, namely, Nancheng Campus: No. 99 Xihu Road, Nancheng District, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province.

Songshan Lake Campus: Songshan Lake Wenhui Road, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province.

The Nancheng campus is close to the sea, with a comfortable and cool climate. At the same time, the surrounding facilities are complete to facilitate students' daily life.

Guangdong University of Science and Technology is a full-time general undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education, focusing on engineering and developing management, economics, literature, art and other disciplines. It is a private comprehensive university.

Selected into the Ministry of Education’s first batch of national-level new engineering research and practice projects and the Ministry of Education’s “Online Learning Space for Everyone” special training base.

The college was founded in 2003 as Dongguan Nanbo Vocational and Technical College; in September 2004, it was upgraded to Dongguan Nanbo Vocational and Technical College; in April 2011, it was upgraded to a general undergraduate college and renamed Guangdong University of Science and Technology.

Guangdong University of Science and Technology consists of 11 secondary colleges, offering 41 undergraduate majors and 18 junior college majors.

In February 2022, the school added new majors in digital media technology, integrated circuit design and integrated systems, supply chain management, and cyberspace security.

According to the official website of Guangdong University of Science and Technology, the school has 781 full-time teachers, and 85% of the school’s teachers have master’s degrees or above.

21 teachers have won honorary titles such as "Outstanding Teachers of Southern Guangdong".

In recent years, school teachers have published more than 8,000 academic papers in various academic journals, including more than 720 articles in the four major indexes and Chinese core journals; they have won more than 430 scientific research awards at the municipal and department level and above; and published more than 230 textbooks and academic works.
