Daheiting Reservoir is located on the main stream of Luanhe River, 5 kilometers north of Qianxi County, Tangshan City, with a controlled drainage area of 35 100 square kilometers, of which the drainage area between Panjiakou and Daheiting Reservoir is 1400 square kilometers, accounting for 79% of the total drainage area of Luanhe River. Daheiting Reservoir is an annual regulation reservoir with a total storage capacity of 337 million cubic meters. There is Panjiakou Reservoir about 30 kilometers upstream of the reservoir. Daheiting Reservoir and Panjiakou Reservoir are jointly used to play the role of flood control and water supply.
