Other people’s Christmas Eve is about warmth, romance, delicious food, and shopping. My Christmas Eve is about running, lifting irons, sweating, and coding.
How did you spend Christmas Eve? Merry Christmas
Back to the subject
My art teacher in junior high school, Mr. Zhang, discovered me in an art class. He probably thought that my painting was not bad, so he let me I was allowed to go to the library alone to practice drawing. I was allowed to go at any time and read a room full of books. What a special treat!
At that time, I mainly used pencils to draw some random patterns, such as horses, bamboos, etc., and occasionally painted Chinese paintings. Later, a classmate made a pencil drawing of a clay pot. At that time, I only knew that such paintings were formal. I felt very good about painting. Unfortunately, this classmate later dropped out of school. However, his sister later also learned painting and became classmates in high school. We were all willing to draw her at that time, with her chubby face and watery lips. Eyes are the first choice when being a model.
It was only after I entered high school that I realized that the pencil drawing was a sketch. I started to learn painting formally in high school. I first practiced drawing shapes with a single still life, how to grasp the pen, how to arrange lines, and learned perspective, proportion, structure, etc. Drawing simple geometric plaster, spheres, cubes, cuboids, triangles, etc., becomes more and more complex.
From simple shaping to later structural sketching, after clarifying the structure, I started to add the relationship between light and dark, and learned the five tones of light and dark, making things more three-dimensional and real.
Later, I finally started to draw some normal still life sketches, such as apples, tomatoes, and carrots. What I remember clearly is that Teacher Wang explained the role of intersecting lines to make the outline of the still life less rigid and more vivid.
The teacher gave us money and asked us to go to the market to buy still lifes by ourselves. We picked out many kinds of fruits and vegetables and came back feeling very excited. You can also eat still life after painting. If you are an art student, have you ever eaten still life?
From practicing a single still life to painting a group of still lifes, I often set up the still lifes because composition is very important.
A year later, I started to draw portraits of people. How to draw portraits of people? The structure of each part, from the skull to the muscles, the structure of the facial features, how to grow, how to draw the hair, how to draw the eyes, is studied bit by bit, and finally assembled into a complete avatar.
Later, I painted busts, busts with hands, and full body portraits. I started painting human bodies in college.
How to learn to draw? Where to start learning sketching? How to draw a sketch? Painting really needs to start from the simplest foundation. A new classmate just added me as a friend and sent me a colored pencil avatar. Wow, it’s a Picasso’s work. There are also new students who directly ask how to draw a head. Do you think I will tell him directly how to draw geometric figures and he will continue to learn? Thinking,,,
Draw more, practice more, ask more classmates who are better than you, and let the teacher change your drawings more often. Study more structure, block analysis, and observe more. These are very helpful for drawing.
