Super Practical Chengdu Travel Guide When I was studying, I had a classmate from Chengdu who always looked comfortable and comfortable when talking about Chengdu. The few of us who yearned for it were just poor students who didn’t have travel expenses and couldn’t go there.
I went there with my wife this year, and my overall feeling can be described in four words: it was a worthwhile trip!
Below is our travel diary for the reference of friends who are interested.
There are many clean and cheap hotels to stay in Chengdu.
There are many hotels such as 7 Days Inn and Home Inn, and even the local hotels are very clean.
The price is also reasonable, basically more than 100 yuan.
Transportation: From Chengdu Airport, you can take the 303 bus directly to the central area of ??Chengdu; the 303 bus stops near the Minshan Hotel; if you take the train station to Chengdu, there are more buses. The North Railway Station is in the North First Ring Road. Where to go?
It’s also convenient.
Public transportation in Chengdu extends in all directions, but the most convenient way for foreign tourists is to take a taxi to save time.
Taxis in Chengdu start at 8 yuan, which is one yuan and two per kilometer.
Special mention should be made to the Chengdu Tourist Passenger Transport Distribution Center (formerly Xinnanmen Station, at No. 57 Linjiang Road). There are buses to various tourist attractions here, which is very convenient. If you are traveling to attractions around Chengdu on your own, it is strongly not recommended to go with a travel agency.
, it is best to take a regular bus to the scenic spots by yourself.
This way you can have more time to explore, and it's very safe. You don't need to take a personal car to go there.
Attractions The main attractions in the city include: Jinli, Wuhou Temple, Kuanzhai Alley, Qingyang Palace, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Wenshu Monastery, and Zhaojue Temple. From Jinli to Qingyang Palace and Du Fu Thatched Cottage, you can take bus No. 82 and pass by along the way; key points
I mentioned that there is a street called "Jinli" next to Wuhou Temple, which is very lively at night. It is recommended to go to Wuhou Temple in the afternoon, and then you can have dinner in the surrounding restaurants.
Let’s go shopping in Jinli in the evening.
You don’t need to eat, there are many places selling snacks in Jinli.
After dark, there are many teahouses and bars, both indoors and outdoors, which feel good.
In terms of price, the snacks in Jinli are a little more expensive than outside, but since prices in Chengdu are low, they are still acceptable and relatively cost-effective.
There is another place that tastes similar to "Jinli", called "Kuanzhai Alley", where small shops and snacks are similar.
But there are more teahouses and bars over there.
Also worth a visit.
If it’s still early to visit Jinli, you can go to Chunxi Road Pedestrian Street and Zongfu Road, which are the busiest streets in Chengdu; (Note, you can sit on a chair in the middle of Chunxi Road to see the beautiful girls in Chengdu, their skin and facial features
Jujia, it’s really eye-catching and cute! Hey!) Wuhou Temple is right next to "Jinli", the ticket is 60.
Built to commemorate Zhuge Liang, there are some inscriptions inside. Tourists who like culture and history must follow the tour guide to listen to the explanation after entering. Just looking at it is meaningless.
The tour can be completed in about 2 hours.
Personally, I think Wuhou Temple is a deceptive attraction with few cultural relics and no interest.
I don’t recommend spending this wasted money.
If you really like history, it is highly recommended to go to two places: 1. Jinsha Museum, on Qingyang Avenue; many national treasure-level cultural relics of the ancient Shu people are there, including the Sun Bird, which you may already know.
However, the tickets are more expensive at 80 yuan.
2 is the Sichuan Provincial Museum, which contains everything from stone tools and bronzes to authentic works by Zhang Daqian and Xu Beihong. The most important thing is that it is free!
!
Note: Closed on Mondays.
In addition, scenic spots around Chengdu that can be visited in one day include: Dujiangyan in Qingcheng Mountain, Leshan Giant Buddha in Mount Emei, the Four Ancient Towns, and Xiling Snow Mountain, etc.
Personally, I think Mount Emei is better. It takes 2 days to enjoy Mount Emei.
Snacks Chengdu’s snacks are so famous.
There are many places to eat snacks next to Wuhou Temple and Du Fu Thatched Cottage.
There is a hot pot place next to Wuhou Temple (sorry, I forgot the name, the store is very big and obvious, so it is easier to find).
There is a snack chain called "Zhong Shui Dumpling" next to Du Fu Thatched Cottage (a bit like the Goubuli steamed bun chain, haha). There are many types of snacks and they are very cheap. A full set meal for more than 20 yuan per person can be eaten to death.
The taste depends on everyone's preference.
The most common snacks are Zhong Shui Dumplings, Long Chao Shou, Dan Dan Noodles, Sesame Balls, glutinous rice dumplings, etc. Chengdu people also like to eat "rabbit cubes", which is braised rabbit meat. It is delicious.
There is also a "Chengdu Famous Snack" near Luoma City. It is also a set meal with many kinds of snacks. It is very cheap and has many combinations, but I personally feel that the taste is average, so you can try it.
The most distinctive thing is the hot pot stall on the roadside in summer, which is the most popular in Chengdu; but you can't think too much about the health situation, haha, sometimes you can't care so much for the sake of appetite.
Shopping in Chengdu will never let you down. There are many specialties that you can enjoy shopping.
Shu Brocade, one of the "Four Famous Brocades in China", and Shu Embroidery, one of the "Four Famous Embroideries in China" are both good choices for you, as well as famous wines such as Luzhou Laojiao, and Pixian Douban, an essential condiment for cooking authentic Sichuan cuisine.
Shopping streets in Chengdu are concentrated around Chunxi Road, Zongfu Road, and Luomashi, with everything from large department stores and supermarkets to vendors and tourist souvenirs.
Here is a special introduction to a small shop that makes silver jewelry.
It left a deep impression on my wife and I and recommend it to friends who like jewelry.
I made an appointment with a friend to have dinner near Shuangnan Community. The friend called and said that there was a traffic jam and I would be late, so I wandered around nearby to buy something for my wife.
