The Nu River flows near Ridan Village, Bingzhongluo Township, Gongshan County, Yunnan Province. Due to the obstruction of the Wangqing Cliff, the flow direction of the river changed from north to south to east to west. After flowing out for more than 300 meters, it was blocked by the Danla Mountain.

On the way out, we had to turn around again and make a sharp turn from west to east, forming a large semicircular bay here, which is called the first bay of Nujiang River.

There is a village called Kantong Village in the center of the bay. The river here is more than 1,710 meters above sea level and is majestic. The Nujiang platform on the bay is flat and open, 500 meters higher than the Nujiang River, forming a small peninsula-shaped plain surrounded by water on three sides.

The scenery around the small plain is pleasant. During the off-season or holidays, people come here to go boating, sing and dance. Kantong Village can be called a canyon paradise, with pastoral scenery everywhere.

Originating in the Nagqu area of ??Tibet, the 1,540-kilometer-long Nu River rushes down from the mountains on the border of Yunnan and Tibet, tumbling through the Nu River Grand Canyon between Gaoligong Mountain and Biluo Snow Mountain.

When it flows near Ridanzhaizi in Bingzhongluo Township, Dulong Nu Autonomous County, Gongshan, it originally flows from north to south. However, because it is blocked by the Wangqing cliff, it changes its direction and turns sharply from east to west.

From ancient times to the present, people traveling on both sides of Shimen Pass can only pass through the beach under the cliff when the Nu River ebbs. When the water rises, the beach is submerged and the road is blocked. Even monkeys and blue sheep cannot pass through Shimen Pass.

There are high mountains and rapids, and the mountains and valleys are full of wonders. The dangerous canyons include Shuangawadi Grand Canyon and Qinatong Canyon.
