How did Shaoxing Lvfu become the former residence of Wang Yangming?
It didn't become the former residence of Wang Yangming.

Shaoxing Lvfu is the residence of Lv Kun, an official of Ming Dynasty. It was built in the middle of Ming Dynasty, located at the top of Wolong Mountain in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. It was built by Yan Song, the powerful minister of the Ming Dynasty, and was later burned down. The Lujialou we see now was rebuilt on the original site by Lu's descendants during Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty. The site of Wang Yangming's former residence is located in the south of Shangye Temple, east of Xixi River, west of Wangye Lane and north of Lvfu. From mid-May, 2020, with the approval of National Cultural Heritage Administration, the Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and the Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology conducted archaeological excavations on the site of Wang Yangming's former residence. Therefore, Shaoxing Lvfu site and Wang Yangming's former residence are two different historical sites, and there is no situation that Lvfu became Wang Yangming's former residence.
