God wants to save the people there: The story of An Xiaocan’s missionary work to more than 800 people (reposted)

An Xiaocan is an ordinary Catholic in the rural areas of Northeast China. Enthusiastic, there was not even a single Christian in her area. Under the inspiration of God, An Xiaocan changed a lot. Her education was not high, but God used her to recite the Rosary, observe the empty heart fast, He prayed devoutly and cured many patients, and as a result he preached to more than 800 people. Now she leads the church members to live enthusiastically and bear witness to God.

An Xiaocan, now fifty-six years old, is from Zhaihousi Village, Anping County, Hebei Province. She married to Dongning County, Heilongjiang Province, Northeast China. When she left home, her grandmother told her: "Son, we are a Catholic family. Don't forget the book." He gave her a scripture and a rosary, and she went to the Northeast.

Year after year passed, An Xiaocan had forgotten about reciting sutras. When she was sick, a Buddhist niche was always provided for her at home. However, An Xiaocan still vaguely thought about God. Sometimes he was scared to walk alone after the night shift, so he would recite the Hail Mary and ask for God's blessing. She often said to God: "Oh God! I am very busy now. When I have time, I can recite sutras and respect you." One day, An Xiaocan suddenly fell ill and could not move his limbs. Her family was very anxious and sought medical treatment everywhere. However, An Xiaocan knew in his heart: This was a test from God. He usually said he had no time to chant sutras, but this time he would see if he had time. So she asked her eldest son to take out the scriptures and rosary beads that had been hidden under the cabinet for many years, and asked God to help her get better.

After taking medicine and chanting sutras for more than a month, the disease really healed. However, because the village-run factory was in recession and he lost his job, An Xiaocan had no choice but to recite sutras, but he was also very busy! At that time, churches in some places were already open to church members. There was no church where An Xiaocan lived, not even a single member of the church, and her family were all foreigners, and they had nothing to do with her in terms of faith. Her mother-in-law had the same language, and she begged God to give her a companion. So she recited the Hail Mary to her eldest son three times a day, hoping that he would soon become a Christian.

At Christmas that year, An Xiaocan burned two pieces of wax and placed them next to the cross. He woke up his eldest son at twelve o'clock in the middle of the night and said, "Kneel down before Jesus in front of the cross." His son replied: "Mom, you know that I am an atheist." An Xiaocan said angrily: "If you were my son, kneel down!" In order to be filial to his mother, the son had to say: "Then I will kneel down and get up immediately." ." She replied, "Yes." The son knelt down. Perhaps it was the inspiration of the Holy Spirit that after the son knelt down, he cried affectionately in front of the cross for fifteen minutes. From then on, the mother and son had the same language and knew God. The son said to his mother, "Mom! When I knelt down, I really felt the presence of God. It is the true God you talked about. God really exists." In this way, An Xiaocan's family had two believers.

An Xiaocan's husband, Zhang Jianxing, not only does not believe in religion, he is also a person who eats, drinks and has fun. He does some small business and lives a relatively prosperous life. The younger son fights outside all day long, and people often come to ask for money to compensate. An Xiaocan's husband is miserable. Although he has some money, his life is not peaceful. One year before Easter, An Xiaocan took his eldest son, daughter and husband back to his hometown in Hebei. On the surface, he wanted to go home for a visit, but in fact, he wanted them to go to church to celebrate Easter. Because An Xiaocan's natal family were all old church members and everyone came to the church, An Xiaocan's husband had no choice but to follow suit after his mother-in-law's persuasion. As soon as he arrived at the church, Zhang Jianxing felt a warm current flowing in his heart. He immediately felt that Catholicism was the true religion and that the people in such a large hall were all so kind. He thought: If all the family members were religious, it would be better if the younger son did not fight. In order for his younger son to return home, Zhang Jianxing and his eldest daughter were soon baptized at the same time, and An Xiaocan's family now had four church members.

Zhang Jianxing’s sister has suffered from demonic possession for many years. When she gets sick, she cries whenever she talks and laughs whenever she talks, making the whole village uneasy. Later, An Xiaocan recited the rosary for her and placed the rosary beads under her sister's pillow every night. As a result, her sister's illness miraculously improved and she gained a new church member in the family. Soon the younger son also became a believer and stopped fighting. An Xiaocan's husband, Zhang Jianxing, said happily: "Our family is much better than before. Mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, and children all understand and tolerate each other." Family life is a happy one.

Later, the younger son got a girlfriend, and the condition of marriage was that he "doesn't believe in your religion." Based on his personal freedom, An Xiaocan didn't force it. However, shortly after the marriage, the younger daughter-in-law got a headache and started to suffer. She was restless and went to seek medical advice but could not find any cure. However, the pain disappeared after the whole family recited three rosaries for her. When she gave birth, she was unable to give birth for several days and nights, but just when the doctor was about to perform an operation and wash her hands, the baby disappeared. She was born successfully, and that was when the whole family was reciting sutras for her. The younger daughter-in-law was moved and became a believer.

Parent Zhang Jianxing set a rule: "Our whole family is religious, and we are very united. We also have the same goal, but no one is allowed to tell it." Although the rule was set, but at home, Obvious changes, such as: Why did the younger son suddenly become better? The people around him saw it, and An Xiaocan's reputation spread in this area. Unfortunately, while the family was still keeping the secret, Zhang Jianxing's grand-niece fell down on the way to school. Unknown to her, she went without food for days and nights, slept during the day and made trouble at night. The teenage girl named all the people who had died for many years in and outside the village. After the screams came out, the doctors were helpless and the family was very scared. Later, the little girl's father asked a witch to tell his fortune, saying that his family had offended a great immortal. The girl's father remembered that he killed a snake two years ago. The witch became more enthusiastic after hearing this and asked his family to spend 2,000 yuan to eliminate the disaster, but the money was spent on the child. The disease is getting worse. They heard that their aunt had a string of beads that could cure this disease, so they had no choice but to ask Zhang Jianxing to borrow An Xiaocan's beads for use, but An Xiaocan said, "We won't see a doctor if the child is sick!" Zhang Jianxing couldn't help them. I begged hard and had no choice but to tell the truth: "We are religious, and those beads are rosary beads. I'm afraid you won't be able to use them if you borrow them, so let your aunt read the rosary to you! But don't tell anyone!" ” An Xiaocan began to preach abroad.

An Xiaocan observed the empty fast before going to his grandniece’s house. After arriving there, he said to them: "I don’t know how to see a doctor. Give it a try. If you are cured, you don’t need money or medicine. You just need to thank God." , believe in Catholicism.” The family member replied: “As long as the child gets well, anything is fine.” An Xiaocan slept with the little girl at night, and she recited the Rosary respectfully and sincerely prayed to God to let the little girl get better! Let them know God. At twelve o'clock in the middle of the night, the little girl made a fuss again. An Xiaocan did not talk to her, but only hit her gently with a rosary, and she fell asleep quietly. An Xiaocan continued to chant sutras, and fell asleep at some point. After dawn, the girl woke up, had dinner, and went out to play happily at about ten o'clock. Most of the girl's family became religious because of this, but the girl's brother did not want to believe because he was afraid of chanting sutras. One night he went to the field and saw a tall, headless black shadow, which was very scary. From then on, his brother also became a believer. In this way, An Xiaocan's reputation could no longer be concealed even if he wanted to.

Soon, the mother and daughter in the same village as the girl were possessed by demons and always disturbed the villagers at night. An Xiaocan still prayed for them by observing empty fasts and reciting the Rosary, because there were so many people possessed by demons. An Xiaocan couldn't do it alone, so the whole family chanted sutras together, and they all recovered after more than a week. In this way, half of the village became religious.

A woman who had just become a believer went to An Xiaocan to recite sutras every day, but her husband did not allow it, saying that it would delay her work and beat her every day. One day her husband was yelling in the yard: "God! If there is a God, please show me a spirit and come out and let me see it, otherwise I will curse you forever." Soon after he returned to the house, he stopped moving, and he was getting better day by day. It was serious, so I had no choice but to ask An Xiaocan to treat her illness. After An Xiaocan arrived at his house, she found out that her husband, who was not a believer, turned out to be a Christian. He had been baptized since he was a child and he still remembered all his holy names. He said that he had offended God and asked An Xiaocan to recite scriptures quickly. An Xiaocan The same method didn't work, so all the believers had to recite the Rosary every day and pray to God, and it took more than ten days for the person to recover. From then on, the family was very enthusiastic and did not dare to be presumptuous.

Originally there was only An Xiaocan, a Christian in this area. Later, the number of believers increased, and many people came to An Xiaocan’s home to chant scriptures every day. This caused dissatisfaction with the local government, especially the brigade secretary, who often cursed. Scolding. At that time, the secretary's daughter-in-law had just given birth to a child. She was crying all day long. She couldn't call a doctor, let alone a witch, so she had to ask An Xiaocan to come and have a look. An Xiaocan went and recited the rosary first, and then put the baby on the baby's head. When the holy card is put on, the child stops crying, but when the holy card is taken off, the child cries non-stop. Many Catholics objected to giving the secretary's grandson a holy medal, but An Xiaocan gave it to the child anyway. The secretary was very moved. Later, the secretary's son and daughter-in-law became believers.

In the first seven or eight years, the church members lived, ate, and chanted sutras at An Xiaocan's home. At that time, most of the church members did not dare to go home for fear of being possessed by demons and suffering from old problems. An Xiaocan's husband thought this was not going to work, so he went to the Heilongjiang Diocese to ask for help and built a church. The believers had a place to go, and religious activities began to be formalized. The number of believers gradually increased from one to more than 800, and five or six churches were built. There are now monasteries and nunneries, and people often visit Dongning County. Catholics from South Korea, Russia and other places also provide financial assistance. These were the situations three years ago, and there may be more church members now.

This story was told to me personally by An Xiaocan when she came to Beijing. At that time, I asked her: "Why are there so many devils there?" An Xiaocan replied: "God wants to save those people! "Now An Xiaocan not only preaches, but God has also given her the gift of healing. She can cure most difficult diseases by chanting sutras. An Xiaocan and her husband usually live in the church and get up at four o'clock every day to recite sutras. Although there is no priest yet, the spiritual life of the believers in that area is in full swing, and everyone is eager to pray, work, and bear witness to God.
